There Is No Security

You all want security, don’t you? You’d like tomorrow to be much like today, assuming today wasn’t too terrible! Especially here in America. We’re no third world country, plagued by warlords, disease, typhoons and all manner of natural or man made disaster! Well, that may not be all that true!

Hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, floods, stock market crashes, recessions, cancer; there’s just no end to what might afflict you at any moment. Naturally, you’ll get no warning, and won’t be prepared. Even if you live in a cave, something can get to you! You’d like to be prepared, but there’s just too many possibilities to even consider!

So, what should you do? Simple. Learn all you can. Live fully and well. Stop wasting your life in idleness and connect with others. Get off your butt and consider the Divine a lot more deeply than you have  up to now. Try to find your life pah, and get on with what you should.

You’ll still have the occasional disaster, but you won’t be devastated as much. You’ll have something of substance to cling to, while being tossed about by the unexpected. You won’t miss the house as much, if a tornado gets it either, understanding that it’s the people you love that matter, not a bunch of stuff. If all you’ve got to cling to is stuff that you worship, you’d better make sure it floats, and is big enough to keep your miserable butt above the tide!
