Is It Evil, Or Just Not To Your Liking?

As I get older, I find myself much less tolerant of nonsense and foolishness. On the other hand, I find I’m loath to just condemn most things outright, being a bit less sure of things than I once was. I may hate something, but others seem quite taken with it. Am I an a-hole or are they idiots? It seems harder to tell most days!

Now I can still spot evil, and have no hesitation to denounce it on the spot. It’s all the other stuff, the matters of taste we’ll call them. I’m sure I can tell what I like or despise, but should I denounce it outright, when others all like it? Of course, some things just beg the question, of whether its poor taste, or complete evil! I’m assuming you’ve watched TV recently, or listened to what passes for music, yes?

I hope you can see my point! It looks quite like some things are slipping from being merely poor taste to become downright evil. Hollywood seems to blame for much of this, but they aren’t alone. All the creative forces seem to be acting as branch offices of the devil’s establishment anymore. I actually yearn for the “good old days” when all we had was poor taste to fret about. I’m slightly hopeful that this is just a horrid cycle of some sort, and that we’ll get back to a state where only real evil looks evil. Wouldn’t that be something?
